AAARRRRRGGGhhhhhhhhh! The dreaded Google Slap. WTF!

Guess what everybody. I got myself Google slapped for a couple of articles here on Great Ways to Make Money Online. I do not want to get into too many specifics right now but they are articles about work at home Google products. You know, cash money...

Now they didn't ride through here and clean house, but they specifically de-indexed one of my articles that was sitting in the number 1 spot on the first page of Google for 3 weeks. De-Indexed? WTF....

And then, for the most popular term that brings visitors to this website, they knocked me off of the number 3 spot on the front page (that I was holding on to for dear life for 3 months) and stuck me at the bottom of the fourth page listings. Everyone knows not one single person will find this article there for my lifetime.

Now I haven't done anything with these articles that I don't normally do. And what I mean is that I haven't done any thing "bad" or "black-hat" in terms of SEO. Nor have I tried to game the serps at all.

Next I thought that maybe one of my competitors did something to me to cause this because they were sick of losing money. I don't know all the sneaky tricks and shit that unsavory webmasters use, but to my understanding there are many underhanded tactics out there. And to really make me suspicious, most of the other listing on the front pages are still there.

Then I got to thinking that maybe Google itself got sick of these home business products (even though they are perfectly legitimate businesses) and targeted them trying to wipe them out of the index. This theory makes no sense though because I am still holding the listings on the front pages for my other keywords and phrases.

I am usually the one running around on the Intenet screaming that Google isn't God and that Google doesn't run the Internet. Although they can run some search engines and twek them to their liking...

So, this leaves me sitting here wondering what the hell happened while I pick up the pieces. Thanks for listening to my gripe. ***UPDATE 6 Hours Later***

I am going to try to sneak one of the 2 articles back in and see what happens. I guess that will be the only way to know for sure. The article will be a few places ahead of this one in line. So let's see what happens....

***UPDATE 12 Hours Later***

The page I thought was completely de-indexed is re-appearing alternatively off and on the first page of Google again. Now this is with a different variations of the original keywords and I'm just noticing it by the natural flow of traffic. This is a good sign.

And now I just finished writing the Entrecard article that follows this post so I think I am going to delete, re-do and re-publish the other Google article I mentioned earlier right now. We'll see if I can't push it back to the front page of Google or not. This should be interesting...
