1. Use customer discounts/incentives.
People can justify the cost of any purchase, so offering special incentives or discounts can really help customers choose to purchase your products or services. If a customer is undecided between two different products, it might just be the discount you give them which could swing them one way or another.
2. Push the price benefits over other options.
One of the biggest customer concerns will be the price of the product or service. It is important that you show why choosing your recommendation will be a cost effective solution. Compare your products against other products in the same niche market or show your customers other options.
3. Increase perceived value.
It is now more important than ever that you push the extra value services. Ideally you really want to promoted time based bonuses, like "order today and get $50 off". You should also really market the bonuses like “free shipping”. These could make a real difference when people come to order.
4. Selling everyday items
It is very important that your customers do not look at the item as a luxury item. Often in difficult times people will stop purchasing more luxury items and stick to the necessities. It is very important that you pass the message across that this is an everyday item which they cannot do without. This is not the purchase of a lifetime but just something else to add to their basket.
5. It’s quality and will not need replacing / Will last the test of time.
Finally it is important that customers feel they are purchasing something of quality, after all this needs to last longer than before as we all have less disposable income. It is important you portray the message that your products have better value for the money as it will last twice as long as other products in the market.

Change Your Blogger Template to Do-Follow, How to
What up everyone. One type of articles I would like to start writing here at Great Ways to Make Money Online dot com are some how-to posts. I learned everything I know about blogging, html, templates, and the likes from reading other people's how-to articles and their blogs.
So I would like to start these how-to articles with a little tip for everyone using Blogger so that they can make their blogs do-follow instead of the automatic Blogger setting of no-follow. I recommend doing this on all your websites because it encourages people to leave comments. And these days, many visitors to your blog won't leave comments unless they know you blog is set to do-follow.
Changing your blogger template to do-follow is really quite simple and should only take you a few seconds for each of your blogs. Here is how.
Go to the Layout Tab in Blogger and click Edit HTML. From there, click the box marked Expand Widget Templates. Now hold the buttons Ctrl and F, a small Find Box will appear in your window. Type in nofollow and and click Next. The template will automatically find the no-follow text in your template. All you have to do is delete the portion that looks like this rel='nofollow'. Now hit next again and delete that same portion again and your done.
It's that simple.
Now you also need to tell people that your blog is set to do-follow. This is the most important step of all. Most visitors will not know if you don't tell them. Here are just a few of the many do-follow banners I use on my websites. Feel free to use them on yours'.

Holy Smokes I Have Been Away for A Long Time
Hello everyone and welcome to Great Ways to Make Money Online dot com. Boy oh boy does it seem like I have been away forever. My last article was on October 9th and today is the 22nd. I have been so busy moving into my new house that time has just flown by. I don't want anyone to think I am abandoning this site because that is not the case.
In fact I have tons of great new ideas to make money online with. Actually being offline for so long has given me a lot of time to think about the focus of this website and what direction I would like to take it in.
I also want to begin building miro-niche websites and sharing my experiences with the readers of this website. I have already built one but I am afraid Blogger will give me the boot if I start mass producing spamish blogs to make money online with, so I have yet to figure out a new platform to build all of the micro-niche websites that I want.
But my first and foremost goal with this website is still going to focus on affiliate marketing and you. I want you to be able to make money online using affiliate marketing programs. I think that is very important.
My next article will be coming up sometime this weekend. I have a ton of work I need to get done at the new house before winter comes though so I might be slowing down the article writing here at Great Ways to Make Money Online dot com but I will not be far away.

I Will Be Away For A Few Days...But Don;t Worry Too Much Cause I'll Be Back Soon
I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be away for a few days. I am in the process of moving to a different home and will be very very busy between my day job and moving. Also the boys will be changing schools and my wonderful girlfriend Ronda will be starting a new job. Ronda landed a great job at Michigan Technological University, congratulations Ronda! So until early or mid week of next week things will be pretty quiet around here.
I would like to encourage any newcomers to have a look through my archives as you can find a ton of useful information about blogging and making money online. And I would like to thank my steady readers for their patience and understanding.

Entrecard Has Deleted My Blogs - What The Hell Entrecard?
So I have been stewing over this one for a couple of days now and have decided to write a post about it. Entrecard recently decided to delete my blogs that I had listed with them. They deleted 3 of my "420" sites that I had listed with them and I think that it is a bunch of crap.
I used to really like Entrecard. When I first joined them this past summer, I enjoyed their advertising model and used it to my advantage. I also partook in their forums on a daily basis and met and learned from a lot of great people and websites there.
Now they have tightened up the rules pertaining to members and have eliminated transferring credits amongst each other. That really sucks! They took away the biggest reason for me to participate with Entrecard in the first place. A lot of bloggers and webmasters have begun to flee from Entrecard. When I first noticed this I thought to myself that this won't be so bad and I can get through it for my sake and Entrecards'. I was wrong.
I go there now and it is like a spammy wasteland. So bad in fact that I hardly receive any traffic from them anymore. I went from over 50 entrecarders a day to now maybe 10 if I'm lucky. I know a lot of people say that Entrecard's traffic was crappy to begin with but I never thought that way myself. How a real live person coming to your website could be crappy traffic is beyond me. I have always enjoyed my Entrecard traffic.
Now Entrecard has gone and slashed my sites down and only left 1 standing. I am tempted to pull the plug here at Great Ways to Make Money Online dot com too but I am going to let it go for the time being. It really is Entrecard's loss that they have alienated me. I was a daily visitor and contributor. Now I will take my precious time on the internet and go somewhere else.
What do you think about Entrecard? Are they going to crash and burn or will they turn into a mighty Phoenix and rise from the ashes?

John Chow is Going to Bring This Blog Some Traffic and He Doesn't Even Know It
Thanks for the traffic John Chow. Okay, everyone must wonder what the hell I am talking about. Well, I just wanted to thank John Chow for the traffic he will be sending me ahead of time because I probably won't have the time to thank him later.
This post is kind of a long story but I will try to make it clear, concise, and simple right from the start. I am going to get this blog ranked in the top of Google's search results for the keyword John Chow. There I said it again, John Chow.
I kind of fell onto this idea while doing a linking project in a different post. Read that linking project post here. Anyway, I was trying to break into the Top Commenter's widget on John Chow's blog. I am happy to say that I was successful in getting my link on every page of John Chow's blog for the time being, and in the process closed the window his site was in.
Therefore, I typed John Chow into Google, to find his website John Chow dot com and came upon an article on Dat Money dot com. Here is the link to the John Chow article on Dat Money. Apparently, John Chow and Google are feuding and Google has black listed him as his websites in their index. They did this because they told people not to sell links or try to game google itself and John Chow gave away links from his site for user reviews of John Chow with the anchor text of "make money online".
Now all this happeded way back in 2006, and most of the articles I can find on this all date 2007. So does this mean that anyone with a little SEO sense can take advantage of this and get themselves ranked under the keywords John Chow? How would that be? Well I guess another man's loss is always another man's gain. Right?
I don't expect to be indexed for John Chow right away, or maybe not at all, but will definitely be keeping an eye out for it to happen. And if I do get indexed for John Chow, I will be sure to update this post and let everyone know!

Link Building Strategy that is So Easy You Will Wonder Why You Haven't Thought of It Yourself
Okay. Today I have thought of an excellent link building strategy for my blog and I have decided I would also like to share it with you. So what could this link building strategy be that is so easy that you should have thought of it you ask?
Well, as everybody knows, you need incoming links to your website from high quality websites in your niche. So I suggest googling your niche with the keywords " blogs, blogs list, top list". Know what I mean?
Since this blog is in the "make money online" niche market, I googled "make money online blogs". And the number 1 result was a list titled Make Money Online Top 100 Blogs by the good people over at 45n5.com I already knew about this list from previous dealings with 45n5.com, but now my goal is to get a link back to my site from each of the make money online blogs in that list, whether they are do-follow or not. And just to drive myself crazy,I am going to make a list of rules for myself.
1. I must comment on every site on the list.
2. If they have a top commenters widget, I must get my link on it. (unless it takes some crazy amount of comments like 20 or more)
3. I must use deep links on relevant content.
I think this link building strategy will bring in more traffic one way or another because these are high quality high traffic websites. And hopefully some of their readers click my link and say to themselves, "Holy crap, this blogger knows some good stuff over here, I'm going to check out everything else he has to say".
I will update this post upon completion of this project and let everyone know how it goes! Depending on the length of time this takes, I may have numerous updates. If nothing else, I will definitely learn a lot from the big dogs by reading their articles and commenting.
